Get in touch
Corrections, better sources, bug reports, and requests for new calculators are all genuinely welcome — they're how this site gets more accurate and more useful.
How to reach us
The best way to reach compost.tools is by email:
- Email contact@compost.tools — for corrections, data suggestions, bug reports, general questions, or a calculator you'd like to see. Every message is read.
What's most useful to send
If you're reporting a number that looks wrong, a citation to a university extension publication, USDA/EPA dataset, or peer-reviewed source helps enormously — it lets a correction go straight into the methodology with a traceable reference. For new calculator ideas, a sentence on the decision you're trying to make (and the units you think in) is the most helpful thing.
What we can't do
compost.tools can't offer individualized agronomic or regulatory advice. For commercial or regulated composting operations, a certified soil lab and your local cooperative extension service are the right places to go — they can test your actual feedstocks, which no calculator can substitute for.
